Thank you for this. I could not agree more on these ideas mentioned. I, myself, have indeed benefited from the several digital platforms. With the use of e-books, I was able to read more books in that platform than on traditional ones. It has made information more available to the masses, and it is more updated. This goes along with the digital library and mobile learning. They have made learning easier.
Even my nieces and nephews, they’re mostly in primary schools, they are now utilizing learning materials in digital platforms. And I think this is environment friendly. Imagine the number of trees and other resources that were reduced with these technologies.
Also, right now, I am taking an online course to learn another language. So I am all for these.

I totally agree with these. For years, we have always relied on traditional books in school, which poses a difficulty in terms of accessibility. This is especially with the place where I used to live. We didn’t have book stores. So what we did was use books, which were basically handed down from the previous school years. I’m not even sure if they were updated, or they were the latest versions.
And yes, they were heavy. (This is probably why I’m short. Lol) But really, when I learned about e-books, I was amazed at how advanced the technology had become. I mean, even some of the private schools (primary level) are now using e-books, in their tablets, instead of textbooks. Talk about elearning.
Not only that, with the onset of digital technology, I am able to take an online learning session with whatever I needed to learn at work. Really, with the Internet, almost everything can be learned online.

It is true that digital technology has many applications and a great impact in an organization especially when applied to employee training needs. The shift from print to digital is a profound transition in how human beings learn, it is more significant than the development of the printing press and its benefits are spreading much more quickly. Like the printing press six centuries ago, this transition is transforming formal education and spreading informal learning opportunities. The opportunity to customize learning sequences for each employee will make training more productive. Special needs will be more quickly diagnosed, learning gaps will be addressed, and progress will be accelerated. Digital learning powers continuous feedback from content-embedded assessment, games, simulations, and adaptive learning. There has been an explosion of free and open content and tools. Companies can save money while ensuring equitable access to such tools and grow the overall organization knowledge.

I believe that these new trends and technologies will be at the core of digital  transformation efforts in 2017 and many will continue far beyond the next year. There is no question that digital transformation is no longer an option as the need to build an organization that can change both its technology and its culture rapidly will be core to not only surviving in the time of business disruption, but building a business model that is agile, adaptable and designed to thrive long into the future where change is the only constant. Nice and helpful post.

Before the digital revolution, teaching was based on the use of pencil, paper and dozens of books full of information, opaque in shape and, above all, static in content. Some elements that are a very defined path for people. Throughout the 21st century, with the expansion of the digital revolution in all areas of daily life, education and employment are undergoing a progressive transformation. A process in which the paper and the pencil are abandoned in favor of the touch screen, the pencil and the keyboard; and with it, the static traditional methodology gives way to dynamism, creativity and modularity. This is an interesting post!
